Over 40 years ago, our founder, Herma Perkins, a chemistry teacher with a passion for baking, used food science to perfect the bun-making process. The result? That spirit of innovation was passed down to her son, Tarik Perkins, who developed the first Maxfield Bakery website in 1997.
